    March 17 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers,
acquisitions and disposals were reported by 1945 GMT on
Thursday:
    
    ** Amazon.com Inc  AMZN.O  said it had closed its $8.5
billion deal to buy MGM, combining the fabled moviemaker behind
"Rocky" and James Bond with the online retailing giant as it
looks to draw consumers through more streaming video.

    **  Iberia-owner IAG  ICAG.L  has struck a deal to provide a
100 million euro, seven-year unsecured loan to Globalia which
could be turned into a 20% equity holding in its Air Europa

    ** U.S. private equity firm Carlyle Group  CG.O  has asked
investors to submit bids for Irca in a deal valuing the Italian
food ingredients maker at more than 1 billion euros ($1.1

    ** The federal judge hearing the Justice Department's fight
to block UnitedHealth Group's  UNH.N  $8 billion deal to buy

with the company board's public stance on Thursday, saying he

    ** Blank-check firm Metals Acquisition Corp  MTAL.N  emerged
as the winner of a years-long race to acquire Glencore's

    ** U.S. asset manager AllianceBernstein said it had agreed
to buy alternatives investment manager CarVal Investors for an

acquired a 7.8% stake in the huge Hornsea One wind farm located

Leonardo's  LDOF.MI  OTO Melara unit as part of its long-term

   ** KKR & Co  KKR.N  said it is buying Japanese real estate
