India's Mafatlal Industries jumps on deal with Defence Ministry

** Shares of Mafatlal Industries  MFTI.BO  rise 15.2% to 159
rupees, its highest since Oct. 2023
    ** The textile maker signed an agreement with Tezpur Defence
Research Laboratory, Defence Research and Development 
Organisation and Ministry of Defence 
    ** Agreement for supply of anti-microbial bed sheets to
Indian Armed Forces and other government agencies for a period
of ten years
    ** Stock eyes busiest trading session since Oct. 2023,
volumes at 8.7x the 30-day avg 
    ** Including session's gains, stock is up ~15% YTD
