Australia's Magellan Financial hits six-month high on upbeat annual earnings

** Shares of Australia's Magellan Financial Group MFG.AX rise 9.33% to A$11.60, their highest level since January 30

** Asset manager declares final dividend of 25.9 AU cents and a special dividend of 21.0 AU cents, taking the full-year payout to A$0.733 apiece

** That is higher than the 65.1 AU cents it paid last year

** FY25 operating profit rises 5% to A$159.7 mln ($102.99 mln), higher than Visible Alpha consensus of A$152.6 million and above last year's A$151.5 million

** FY25 income from fund investments more than tripled over FY24 to A$42.2 million

** Stock among the top gainers in the benchmark S&P/ASX 200 index .AXJO

** Stock up 3.24% YTD, including the day's moves
