Man Group plc (the "Company") announces that it has purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of 3 3/7 US cents on the London Stock Exchange through J.P. Morgan Securities plc as part of its US$100 million share repurchase programme (originally announced on 22 October 2018, with the increase of the maximum consideration from US$50 million to US$100 million announced on 24 December 2018).

The Company intends to hold the purchased shares in treasury.  Following the purchase and settlement of these shares, the Company will hold 11,200,327 of its ordinary shares in treasury and will have 1,530,594,443 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares). (Note: This figure takes into account the transfer from treasury of 1,576,879 ordinary shares on 1 October 2019 in order to satisfy the exercise of options under the Company's Sharesave Scheme).
 
Since the commencement of the share repurchase programme, 53,874,993 ordinary shares have been repurchased in aggregate at a weighted average price of 145.5775 pence per share.
 
All transactions under this programme will be published on the Company's website (www.man.com) on a weekly basis.
