Mandatum tops Helsinki blue-chip index on new growth targets

** Shares of Finnish life insurance provider Mandatum MANTA.HE rise around 4% to the top of the Helsinki blue chip index .OMXH25 after it set financial targets for 2025-2028

** It is also among top performers on Europe's benchmark STOXX 600 index .STOXX

** Mandatum targets return on equity exceeding 20% and an average annual growth rate of above 10% in pre-tax profit

** "The first signs point to more disciplined balance sheet optimization through profit distribution," Inderes analysts say in a research note

** They add the targets signal growth and continued generous profit distribution, and deem the RoE target "very realistic"

**  If the gains hold, Mandatum shares will see their biggest daily rise since April
