Spanish insurer Mapfre's 2023 net profit rises 20%

Feb 14 (Reuters) - Spanish insurer Mapfre  MAP.MC  said
on Wednesday its net profit in 2023 rose 20% from a the previous
year. 
    The insurer company's profit for the period, under new
accounting standards, stood at 677 million euros ($724.86
million), up from 564 million euros in 2022.
    Earlier this year, Mapfre reported that it closed 2023
reaching a record premium income of almost 27 billion euros up
9.7% from 24.45 billion euros a year earlier.
