Adds company no comment
HOUSTON, April 16 (Reuters) - The gasoline-producing fluid catalytic cracking unit at Marathon Petroleum's MPC.N 631,000-barrel-per-day Galveston Bay Refinery in Texas returned to normal operation on Wednesday after a Tuesday malfunction, said two people familiar with plant operations.
Marathon spokesperson Jamal Kheiry declined to comment on Thursday.
An electrical outage cut power to several pumps on the 140,000-bpd FCCU on Tuesday, causing the malfunction, the company said in a notice filed with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
