HOUSTON, May 7 (Reuters) - Marathon Petroleum MPC.N returned its 631,000 barrel-per-day Galveston Bay Texas refinery to normal operation on Thursday following a sulfur recovery unit outage a day before, said people familiar with plant operations.
All three processing lines on the SRU went out due to a power outage on Wednesday, forcing the refinery to cut back production to reduce sulfur pollution.
