RNS Number : 5459J Peabody Trust 05 April 2024

Peabody Group (incorporating Peabody Trust, Peabody Capital PLC, Peabody
Capital No.2 PLC)

Peabody publishes 22-23 emissions data and new sustainability action plan

Peabody has today (Friday 5 April) published its refreshed sustainability
action plan. It contains Peabody's 22-23 greenhouse gas emissions data and
sets out a clear action plan to support its previously published three-year
environmental sustainability strategy.

It also confirms that Peabody has been awarded RITTERWALD's Certified
Sustainable Housing label for a third year in succession. This helps ratify
and benchmark organisations' sustainability performance. Peabody has
maintained the top ranking of frontrunner status in social and governance
activities and ambassador status for environmental performance.

As part of the action plan, Peabody is upgrading and improving residents'
homes, developing new energy efficient homes and scaling up efforts to support
sustainable places with residents and colleagues. Some of the actions
include electrifying its vehicle fleet, installing an energy management
system, looking at ways to increase biodiversity and providing energy advice
to residents.

Richard Ellis, Director of Sustainability at Peabody said "Achieving net zero
carbon by 2050 requires a big change in the way everyone operates, and while
26 years feels a long way off, we all need to act now. It is going to need
over £1bn of investment to get to where we need to be by 2050, and the work
has already begun."

"We've produced a refreshed Sustainability Action Plan to give more detail
about what we're doing now to meet our priorities and to encourage our
colleagues, residents and partners to join us on the journey to a more
sustainable future."
