A rise in technology stocks lifted Wall Street on Thursday, as China sounded
hopeful of a resolution to the protracted trade dispute with the United States,
easing investor fears of the risk of a recession. .N 
    At 12:20 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 1.32% at
26,380.48. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 1.32% at 2,925.96 and the Nasdaq Composite
 .IXIC  was up 1.55% at 7,978.618.
