** BMO downgrades MATR to "market perform" from "outperform" rating, maintains PT at C$12

** Brokerage says it's taking a more cautionary stance as MATR works through potential tariff-related impacts

** On Wednesday, MATR said it expects demand for its products during Q2, and likely beyond, to be unfavorably impacted

** Including session's moves, stock down 13.8% YTD
