Maxeon, Aiko sign patent licensing deal, shares rise

** Shares of solar module maker Maxeon Solar Technologies MAXN.O rise 18.9% to $4.09 in premarket trading ** Co and Shanghai Aiko Solar Energy 600732.SS sign agreement to license MAXN's Back Contact (BC) solar cell and module patents ** Co says Aiko will receive a license to all of MAXN's BC solar cell and module patents outside the U.S., including existing patents and those to be added over the next five years ** As part of the agreement, MAXN agrees to drop all current and potential patent actions against Aiko, while Aiko will withdraw all its efforts to invalidate Maxeon's patents ** In 2025, MAXN was down 67.6% (Reporting by Varun Sahay in Bengaluru) ((Varun.sahay@thomsonreuters.com))
