Brief: Mayr Melnhof Karton H1 consolidated sales up at 1,142.2 mln euros

Aug 18 (Reuters) - Mayr Melnhof Karton AG  MMKV.VI : 
    * H1 consolidated sales went up by 6.8 % or 72.6 million 
euros to 1,142.2 million euros (1st half of 2015: 1,069.6 
million euros) 
    * H1 profit for period thus increased by 19.6 % to 80.4 
million euros (1st half of 2015: 67.2 million euros) 
    * Strong development in first half-year will nevertheless be 
a challenge for second half of year 
    * H1 operating profit grew by 14.8 % or 14.3 million euros 
to 110.8 million euros (1st half of 2015: eur 96.5 million) 
    * H1 financial income was at 1.6 million euros (1st half of 
2015: eur 0.8 million), financial expenses amounted to eur -3.2 
million (1st half of 2015: -3.2 million euros). 
    * Situation on european cartonboard and folding carton 
markets starts to get more challenging.
