Zabka first-quarter results due April 28
Net loss seen at 75 mln zlotys
GDANSK, April 27 (Reuters) - Polish convenience store chain Zabka ZAB.WA is expected to report a first-quarter net loss of 75 million zlotys ($21 million), narrowing from a 125 million zloty loss a year ago in a seasonally weak quarter, a Reuters poll showed on Monday.
The group's performance was seen dampened by unusually cold weather at the start of the year, which weighed on customer traffic and slowed like-for-like sales growth, according to analysts. In the fourth quarter of last year, it turned a 527 million zloty net profit.
The bottom line in the first quarter is also seen weighed down by net financing costs related to the company's debt.
However, revenue is forecast to rise by about 12% to 6.33 billion zlotys, driven by new store openings.
