INTEREST RATES
Interest rates in Poland are likely to remain unchanged in the near future, with developments in the Middle East the main factor influencing the central bank’s decisions, Adam Glapinski, governor of the National Bank of Poland, said on Thursday.
SUMMIT IN SOUTH KOREA
South Korean President Lee Jae Myung will hold a summit meeting with Poland's Prime Minister Donald Tusk on April 13, with defence industry cooperation and global security expected to top the agenda, media reports said on Friday.
US TROOPS IN POLAND
National Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz said he counts on an increased presence of U.S. troops in Poland, regardless of the situation in the Middle East, Rzeczpospolita daily reported.
MBANK
UniCredit CRDI.MI said acquiring control of Commerzbank CBKG.DE would obligate it to bid for the roughly 30% of Poland's mBank MBK.WA that Commerzbank does not already own, increasing the cost of its takeover.
DEBT
