INTEREST RATES
Polish central banker Ludwik Kotecki sees no room for further interest rate cuts this year due to uncertainty surrounding the war in the Middle East and its impact on inflation in Poland, Parkiet daily reported.
SPACE SECTOR
Finance Minister Andrzej Domanski said that investing in the space sector is one of the key challenges Poland needs to face to keep the pace of economic growth.
The minister wants an ESA (European Space Agency) center to be established in Poland, and the decision on the city where it will be located will be announced by the end of May, Rzeczpospolita daily reported.
IMF REPORT
The latest International Monetary Fund (IMF) World Economic Outlook report states that even though Poland spends more on defence than any other NATO country, the impact of this spending on economic growth is limited, while the public finance deficit and public debt are rising, Puls Biznesu daily reported.
