AIRBUS AND LOT
Airbus AIR.PA sealed a landmark order for 40 A220 jets from Polish national carrier LOT on Monday, marking the airline’s largest-ever investment and signalling a broader reset in political ties between Poland and France.
PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION
The National Electoral Commission, in its report to the Supreme Court, writes of "major irregularities" during the vote counting in the second round of the Polish presidential election. The Supreme Court will assess their impact on the election result, Gazeta Wyborcza daily reported.
CORE INFLATION
Core inflation in Poland continued its downward trend in May, falling to 3.3%, the lowest level since January 2020. This is the first time in 5.5 years that it has been below 3.5%, the upper limit of the inflation target, twice in a row, Parkiet daily reported.
MBANK
CEO of Commerzbank's CBKG.DE Polish subsidiary mBank MBK.WA Cezary Kocik said that despite earlier skepticism, mBank has decided to get involved in financing the defence industry and has already completed its first transactions, Rzeczpospolita daily reported.
HOUSING MARKET
In May 2025, developers sold over 3,700 apartments on the seven largest housing markets in Poland, which is 30% more than in April, Rzeczpospolita daily reported, citing data from the Otodom portal.
