U.S. stocks extended their gains on Thursday following a rally in the previous
session as investors assessed the path laid out by the Federal Reserve for
interest rate hikes, while closely tracking the Russia-Ukraine peace talks.  .N 
    At 12:40 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 0.42% at
34,206.81. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.47% at 4,378.15 and the Nasdaq Composite
 .IXIC  was up 0.26% at 13,472.095.
