May 8 (Reuters) - Israel-based Teva Pharmaceuticals
TEVA.TA TEVA.K and French partner Medincell MEDCL.PA said
on Wednesday their injectable form of a schizophrenia drug had
met its main goal in a late-stage study.
TEV-'749, an under-the-skin version of a generic
antipsychotic drug called olanzapine, met its main goal of
reducing symptoms of schizeophrenia as measured along a widely
used scale known as Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale
(PANSS).
Symptoms for schizophrenia include delusions,
hallucinations, disorganized speech, trouble with thinking and
lack of motivation.
