MPS CEO urges investors not to see October 29 vote as a choice between deals
MPS CEO urges investors not to see October 29 vote as a choice between deals MILAN, Sept 23 (Reuters) - Monte dei Paschi BMPS.MI shareholders should regard a vote called on October 29 on the Italian bank's defence strategy against a takeover bid by Intesa Sanpaolo ISP.MI as a way to preserve optionality, the MPS CEO said.
Addressing investors at a Bank of America conference in London, MPS CEO Luigi Lovaglio said the vote should not be seen as a choice between the Intesa's bid and the alternative deal MPS is proposing.
