West Pharma slips on disclosure of cybersecurity attack

** Shares of medical equipment maker West Pharmaceutical WST.N fall 3.6% to $310

** Co said late on Monday that it has experienced a material cybersecurity attack, in which an unauthorized party stole some data and encrypted parts of its systems

** West Pharma discovered the attack on May 4 and quickly took systems offline, notified law enforcement, and brought in outside cybersecurity experts

** The attack has temporarily disrupted operations globally, though core systems are back and shipping, manufacturing, and receiving have restarted at some sites

** The timeline for a complete restoration has not yet been finalized - West

** The company said it has not yet determined any financial impact and that the investigation and system restoration are still ongoing

** Stryker SYK.N and Intuitive Surgical ISRG.O experienced cybersecurity incident in March, while Medtronic MDT.N disclosed an incident in April

** Including session's move, WST up 13% YTD
