** Australian technology stocks .AXIJ rise 2.1% to 1642.7 points

** Wall Street peer Nasdaq ended higher overnight logging its tenth daily advance in a row .N/

** Sub-index heavy weights Xero XRO.AX up 2.7%, WiseTech Global WTC.AX adds 2.9% while Megaport MP1.AX gains 5.3%; MP1 among top gainers on the bechmark ,.AXJO> which is up 0.1%

** YTD, AXIJ down 24.1% underperforming the benchmark's 3% gain
