** The sub-index gains after two straight sessions of losses

** Shares tracking overnight Wall street gains, as investors gain confidence on U.S. inflation data amid elevated concerns over a possible recession .N

** Software developer Megaport MP1.AX is up as much as 1.8%, jumping most since March 5, last up 1.5%

** Sub-index constituent Wisetech WTC.AX is up 1.9%, set for its first day of gains after four straight sessions of losses

** .AXIJ down 14.9% this year
