MADRID, May 8 (Reuters) - Hotel group Melia MEL.MC expects summer season sales to rise this year in its home country Spain compared to 2024, Chief Executive Gabriel Escarrer told shareholders on Thursday.
The number of guests during the Easter week in Spain and the average room prices registered a double-digit increase year-on-year, he said during the company'a annual shareholders meeting.
Melia is due to release first-quarter results later on Thursday.
