Transactions in own shares

 

Melrose Industries plc (the Company) announces today it has purchased the
following number of its ordinary shares of 160/21 pence each on the London
Stock Exchange through J.P. Morgan Securities plc.

 

Ordinary Shares:

 Number of ordinary shares purchased  6,691,699
 Lowest price per share:              144.4000
 Highest price per share:             149.4000
 Weighted average price per day:      147.8814

The Company intends to cancel the purchased shares.

 

Following the above transaction, the Company will have 4,333,388,512 ordinary
shares in issue.
