Transactions in own shares

 

Melrose Industries plc (the Company) announces today it has purchased the
following number of its ordinary shares of 160/21 pence each on the London
Stock Exchange through J.P. Morgan Securities plc.

 

Ordinary Shares:

 Number of ordinary shares purchased  7,495,466
 Lowest price per share:              151.2500
 Highest price per share:             158.8000
 Weighted average price per day:      156.8609

The Company intends to cancel the purchased shares.

 

Following the above transaction, the Company will have 4,318,578,753 ordinary
shares in issue.
