Transactions in own shares

 

Melrose Industries plc (the Company) announces today it has purchased the
following number of its ordinary shares of 160/7 pence each on the London
Stock Exchange through J.P. Morgan Securities plc.

 

Ordinary Shares:

 Number of ordinary shares purchased  474,927
 Lowest price per share:              468.2000
 Highest price per share:             475.1000
 Weighted average price per day:      472.5690

The Company intends to hold the purchased shares in treasury.

 

Following the above transaction, the Company has 3,923,528 ordinary shares
held in treasury and 1,347,551,793 ordinary shares in issue (excluding
treasury shares).
