Transactions in own shares

 

Melrose Industries plc (the Company) announces today it has purchased the
following number of its ordinary shares of 160/21 pence each on the London
Stock Exchange through Investec Bank plc.

 

Ordinary Shares:

 Number of ordinary shares purchased  8,642,836
 Lowest price per share:              154.9500
 Highest price per share:             158.2000

The Company intends to cancel the purchased shares.

 

Following the above transaction, the Company will have 4,277,421,732 ordinary
shares in issue.
