Transactions in own shares

 

Melrose Industries plc (the Company) announces today it has purchased the
following number of its ordinary shares of 160/21 pence each on the London
Stock Exchange through Investec Bank plc.

 

Ordinary Shares:

 Number of ordinary shares purchased  9,194,310
 Lowest price per share:              151.3500
 Highest price per share:             157.6000
 Weighted average price per day:      155.1728

The Company intends to cancel the purchased shares.

 

Following the above transaction, the Company will have 4,204,215,521 ordinary
shares in issue.
