rise 15% to 92 cents premarket

 AstraZeneca Plc  AZN.L  is considering making a bid for the
drug developer
    ** AstraZeneca declined to comment, while Mereo did not
immediately respond to Reuters request for comment 
    ** UK-based Mereo is developing drugs to treat rare diseases
and types of cancer 
    ** MREO shares have lost half of their value YTD
