Cancer biotechs jump on data ahead of industry meet

** Shares of some cancer drug developers gain as they
released data summaries from clinical trials ahead of American
Society of Clinical Oncology being held May 31-June 4
    ** Merus NV's  MRUS.O  experimental therapy petosemtamab
showed a 60% response rate in reducing or clearing tumors in 10
patients with head and neck cancer
    ** Legend Biotech  LEGN.O  and Johnson & Johnson's  JNJ.N 
cell therapy Carvykti showed a reduction or disappearance of
tumors in 94% of some blood cancer patients
    ** Agenus  AGEN.O  combination treatment for a type of
colorectal cancer showed a reduction or disappearance of tumors
in 18% to 33% of patients 
    ** Corbus Pharmaceuticals  CRBP.O  says its cancer therapy
showed anti-tumor activity in an early-stage trial
    ** In afternoon trade, MRUS shares up 33%, LEGN up 6.1%,
AGEN up 11.7%, CRBP up 8.6%
    ** YTD, MRUS has doubled, LEGN down 30.3%, AGEN down 16%,
CRBP up over six-fold
