Meta Materials hits 10-month high in strong volume

** Shares of Meta Materials  MMAT.O  jump nearly 30% to
$2.16, looking to close at the highest level since January 
    ** MMAT was among top 10 most actively-traded U.S. stocks on
Monday with over 55.8 mln shares changing hands by 2:52 p.m. ET
    ** Canada-based industrial materials company's stock has run
up 249% since the end of September 
    ** Including session's gain, stock cuts 2022 losses to 9%
    ** Meta Materials shares caught a bid last year due to a
case of mistaken identity when Facebook metamorphosed into Meta
