Meta Materials volume soars but pares price gains

** Meta Materials  MMAT.O  was one of the most actively traded
stocks on U.S. exchanges on Friday although it has pared some
gains an hour after trading opened
    ** MMAT, a favorite among retail investors using social
media, was last up 5.0% at $5.64 after earlier hitting a high of
$6.42
    ** The stock was well below its $21.76 peak for the year so
far, reached on June 21
    ** On stocktwits MMAT had the second most messages in the
last 24 hours behind only Vinco Ventures  BBIG.O , which is down
10.5% at $7.15 on the session
