March 23 (Reuters) - NAVAL GROUP/METLEN:

* Naval Group and METLEN sign a memorandum of understanding related to submarine and frigate projects for the global markets, they said on Monday.

* The deal was signed on March 19 in the presence of the French Ambassador to Greece, they added.

* The agreement aims to explore future collaboration in the field of submarine and surface ship projects.

* The French state owns around 62% of Naval Group, while Thales TCFP.PA has a 35% stake.
