TR-1: Standard form for notification of major holdings

The TR-1 notification set out below relates to the voting rights of Hamblin
Watsa Investment Counsel Ltd in Metlen Energy & Metals plc (the
"Company").  The notification was sent on 4 August 2025 but due to a
technical administrative issue, which has now been rectified, the notification
was only received by the Company on 8 August 2025.

Metlen Energy & Metals PLC, the global industrial and energy company
headquartered in Greece, with a primary listing on the London Stock Exchange
and a secondary listing on the Athens Stock Exchange, publishes this

Hamblin Watsa Investment Counsel Ltd. (a wholly owned subsidiary of Fairfax
Financial Holdings Limited) acts as the investment manager for each of the
subsidiaries listed at section 4 above (the ''Shareholders'') and certain
other subsidiaries of Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited. Pursuant to certain
investment management agreements with the Shareholders, Hamblin Watsa
Investment Counsel Ltd. has control and discretion over the voting rights
attaching to the shares of Metlen PLC owned by the Shareholders. The
Shareholders are direct or indirect subsidiaries of Fairfax Financial Holdings
Limited.
