ATHENS, Sept 7 (Reuters) - Greece's privatisation agency
HRADF said on Thursday that GEK Terna HRMr.AT offered the
highest price out of six bids for a 25-year concession to
operate a major Athens toll road.
HRADF said it would now assess the offers in line with the
terms of the tender process before naming a preferred bidder.
GEK Terna offered 3.27 billion euros ($3.5 billion), HRADF
said in a statement.
The agency had shortlisted six bidders to operate the 70-km
(44-mile) Attica Motorway ring road after 2024.
The other shortlisted investors were Abertis
Infraestructuras; Aktor Concessions HELr.AT jointly with Avax
AVAr.AT ; a joint venture by Brisa and Auto Estradas de
Portugal; Macquarie; and a partnership of Vinci SGEF.PA and
Mytilineos MYTr.AT .
Greek construction groups Ellaktor HELr.AT and Avax
AVAr.AT will operate the ring road until 2024.
