UK's Metro Bank keeps annual outlook after strong first-quarter lending performance

April 30 (Reuters) - Britain's Metro Bank MTRO.L reaffirmed its fiscal year 2026 outlook on Thursday, encouraged by strong lending activity in its key segments in the first quarter. The lender said loans to customers across corporate, commercial, SME lending and specialist mortgages jumped 52% from a year ago to 5.5 billion pounds ($7.41 billion) for the three months.
