- Mettler-Toledo International MTD.N raised its annual profit forecast on Thursday after posting a better-than-expected profit for the second quarter, driven by demand for its laboratory instruments used in drug development and research.

Shares of the company rose about 4% after market hours.

  • The company posted an adjusted profit of $11.46 per share beating analysts' estimates of $10.79 per share for the quarter ended June 30, supported by growth in China and emerging market.
