** The electronic components maker enters memorandum of understanding with Singapore's Top2 PTE to find semiconductor fabrication partner from Taiwan

** MoU aims for 25,000 to 30,000 monthly semiconductor wafer production

** More than 45.8 mln shares traded, 6.3x its 30-day moving avg

** Shares volume above 28 mln for the fifth straight session

** YTD, MELC down ~10%
