Microbot rises on application to start human trials with robotic surgical system
** Shares of medical device manufacturer Microbot Medical
MBOT.O rise ~1.7% to $1.23 premarket
** Co says it has submitted an Investigational Device
Exemption (IDE) application to the U.S. FDA for the company to
commence human trials with its LIBERTY Robotic Surgical System
** IDE allows an investigational device to be used in a
clinical study to collect safety and effectiveness data
** In October, co said its Robotic Surgical System performed
with 100% usability and technical success without any adverse
events in a pre-clinical study testing the system in animals
** Up to last close, stock down 61.8% in the last 12 months
