Mindflair plc
("Mindflair" or the "Company")
Mindflair portfolio company Stylus Education awarded DfE contract
Mindflair PLC, the AIM-quoted company focused on investing in Artificial
Intelligence ("AI") related technology, is pleased to note that LearnCycle
Limited, trading as Stylus Education ("Stylus") (www.stylus.education), one of
its portfolio companies, has been awarded funding by the Department for
Education ("DfE") under its "AI Tools for Education" programme.
Stylus, the education-technology company pioneering AI-powered marking and
feedback, has been awarded approximately £250,000 of the £1 million that the
DfE is deploying in the second round of its AI Tools for Education programme.
The initiative, delivered through Innovate UK's Contracts for Innovation, is
designed to accelerate the development of advanced AI tools to support teacher
workload across key stages, moving innovative solutions from prototype to
classroom use. Stylus will use the funding to develop its platform that
enables handwritten student work to be scanned, assessed by AI (with human
moderation), and converted into personalised feedback and data-driven insights
for teachers - while students continue to write naturally on paper.
Nicholas Lee, Director of Mindflair, commented:
"We are delighted to see Stylus recognised by the DfE through this award - it
underlines the strength of the platform and the opportunity for AI to
materially reduce teacher workload and drive better student feedback. We look
forward to seeing Stylus progress this development phase and drive scalable
adoption across the education sector."
