** Shares in Minor Hotels Europe & Americas (MHEA) NHH.MC
soar around 34% to July 2018 highs after a Thai tourism group
offered to buy out the company's minority shareholders
** Minor International MINT.BK , which already owns 95.9%
of MHEA shares, offered to pay 6.37 euros ($6.69) per share for
the stake it does not own, which represents a 38% premium over
MHEA's Friday closing price
** Brokerage Sabadell says that Minor International's
delisting bid of Minor Hotels, previously known as NH Hotel,
makes sense given the low liquidity of the stock
** "It is not surprising given that the controlling
shareholder had already tried to delist the stock in 2023,"
Sabadell adds
** Shares in MHEA are on track for their best day ever if
gains hold
($1 = 0.9517 euros)
