** Shares of cancer drug developer Mirati Therapeutics Inc
MRTX.O fall 11% to $38.96 after the bell
** Company says its experimental combination therapy to
treat a type of advanced lung cancer failed to extend lives of
patients in a late-stage study
** The study tested MRTX's drug candidate, sitravatinib, in
combination with Bristol-Myers Squibb Co's BMY.N Opdivo in
patients with advanced non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer
