UK's Mitchells & Butlers jumps on annual profit beat

** Shares of British restaurant and pub operator Mitchells & Butlers MAB.L up 7.4% at 275p

** Stock top performer on the FTSE mid 250 index .FTMC, which is up 0.94%

** Co reports 16.5% growth in annual adj pretax profit to 246 mln pounds vs estimate 237.5 mln pounds as per LSEG data

** Says like-for-like sales in first eight weeks of fiscal 2026 were 3.8% higher

** Forecasts costs of about 130 mln pounds in FY26

** Including session's moves, stock up ~4.49% YTD
