Feb 11 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is
seen opening lower on Tuesday, with futures FFIc1 down 0.07%.
* BP: BP's BP.L fourth-quarter profit fell to $1.17
billion, marking the lowest earnings for the oil major in four
years as weak margins dented its refining business.
* BOE: Bank of England policymaker Catherine Mann said
companies will struggle to raise prices this year as consumers
are hit by job losses and spending softens, the Financial Times
reported.
* HSBC: A South Korean court acquitted HSBC HSBA.L on
charges of violating the country's short-selling rules, the
Yonhap News Agency reported.
* ENTAIN: British bookmaker Entain ENT.L said CEO Gavin
Isaacs will step down immediately and chair Stella David will
assume the CEO role on an interim basis.
* DUNELM: British homeware retailer Dunelm Group DNLM.L
said CEO Nick Wilkinson has decided to retire from the company
after seven years in the role.
* BELLWAY: British homebuilder Bellway BWY.L said it was
mindful of affordability concerns despite a seasonal pick-up in
customer enquiries and reservation rates as the firm retained
its annual build targets.
* UK RETAIL: British retailers reported a reasonable start
to 2025 after a disappointing 2024.
* SABA CAPITAL: Saba Capital Management added more UK
investment trusts to its activist campaign and plans to further
shake up the sector.
* OIL: Oil prices extended gains on Tuesday after a report
showed Russian oil production fell short of quota and on fears
of more supply disruptions, but gains were limited by worries
that escalating trade tariffs could dampen global economic
growth.
* METALS: London aluminium traded in a tight range near its
three-week high on Tuesday as investors weighed risks of a major
global trade war.
* GOLD: Gold shot to a record high, the dollar was firm and
stocks were subdued on Tuesday.
