HK's money lender Noble Century hits over 2-year high, plans acquisition

** Shares of vessel chartering and money lending firm Noble
Century Investment Holdings Ltd  2322.HK  jump as much as 20 pct
to HK$1.14, the highest since November 2016 
    ** Company has agreed to buy the entire ChaoShang Financial
Holding Ltd for HK$250 million ($31.90 million) to enhance its
money-lending and finance-leasing businesses while further

    ** Noble Century has outperformed the Hang Seng Commerce &
Industry Index sector  .HSNC  by 49.9 percentage points in the
past one month
    ** The Hong Kong Hang Seng sub-index tracking financial

 .HSI  rises 0.4 pct
