POLISH-BELARUSIAN BORDER

As of midnight on Thursday, all border crossings with Belarus are closed until further notice, and traffic in both directions has been suspended..

Interior Minister Marcin Kierwinski said that traffic will only resume once the safety of Poles is fully guaranteed, a decision linked to the Belarusian-Russian Zapad military exercises, the PAP agency reported.

UNITED NATIONS SECURITY COUNCIL

The United Nations Security Council is set to meet on Friday to discuss drone incursions into Polish airspace that the Polish president described as an attempt by Russia to test Warsaw and NATO's response.

CENTRAL BANK

On Friday, Poland's central bank will release its current account balance for July. Analysts polled by Reuters estimate the current account deficit to be 743 million euros, compared to 651 million euros surplus in June.

COUNTER-DRONE SYSTEMS

In the coming days, the Polish Army is expected to receive approval to purchase counter-drone systems, Rzeczpospolita daily reported.
