Polish retailer CCC shares fall on Ningi Research short

Oct 16 (Reuters) - ** Shares in CCC CCCP.WA drop as much as 14.6% on Thursday after U.S.-based short seller Ningi Research said it had taken a short position on the Polish footwear retailer's stock

** "We deny the allegations in the Ningi Research report," CCC said in a statement

** Stock recoups some losses and is down around 7% to its lowest price in more than a year at 1147 GMT
