Modular Medical rises after seeking FDA clearance for insulin pump

** Shares of Modular Medical MODD.O rise 5.3% to $1.78 in
early trade
** Medical device co says it has submitted a 510(k)
premarket filing to the U.S. FDA for its MODD1 insulin pump
** A 510(k) is a premarket submission made to the FDA to
demonstrate the device to be marketed is safe and effective
** Co says its regulatory efforts will now turn to
obtaining the United Kingdom Conformity Assessment (UKCA) mark
required to market the medical device in the United Kingdom
** Stock down 40.7% in the last 12 months
