The S&P 500 hit an intra-day record high on Friday for the first time in two
years, powered by gains in chipmakers and heavyweight technology stocks on
optimism around artificial intelligence (AI).  .N 
    
    At 13:42 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 0.90% at
37,804.3. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.98% at 4,827.95 and the Nasdaq Composite
 .IXIC  was up 1.15% at 15,229.185.
